The Joplin and Carthage CVBs remind area drivers that a bicycle rally will be passing through Jasper County over the weekend and into Monday and ask that drivers be cautious around the additional traffic especially near and along Route 66.  For info, call 417-359-8181 or 417-625-4789.

Ozarks Community Hospital - Jasper County Clinic announces their back-to-school immunizations and physicals are now being scheduled.  Contact them to schedule your child’s appointment at 417-237-0604.

Sign your kids up now for Summer Theatre Camp at Stone’s Throw Theatre.  This two-week program will be held July 23-27 and July 30-Aug 3 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. each day, with a special program on Saturday, August 4.  The cost is $125 per student.  For info, call 417-358-9665.

The Carthage Technical Center and Mercy Hospital Carthage have announced a new 16-week Clinical Medical Assistant program, which will be offered at no charge for the first 8-person class. Training will begin in late August, but spots are expected to fill quickly for this unique opportunity.  Participants must be at least 18 years old and pass a drug screening.
